Is ILOG Gantt for .NET a port of either ILOG Views Gantt Chart or ILOG JViews Gantt Chart?
No. This product has been entirely written in C#, and takes advantage of the best development practices provided by the .NET framework. Of course, ILOG has leveraged its long experience with C++ and Java Gantt products. As a result, this new product has inherited many features from ILOG JViews, like printing support, dynamic styling and a data model. Unlike ILOG Views, ILOG Gantt for .NET features MVC architecture, prebuilt controls and integration into Visual Studio. This saves developers from having to dig into very low-level graphics functions. Gantt for .NET also provides a full API to extend all classes when required.
